As part of a series of microsites and utilities, I built the Commerce Bank MyGoal Tracker tool for bank customers to use in estimating how much they would need to save to work towards a goal. The tool was disconnected from actual bank account numbers and amounts for security and was strictly meant as an estimation and tracking tool.
Users were able to select any number of goals and then track their progress over time or by total. The ultimate purpose of the tool was to drive bank customers towards opening savings accounts and actually working towards putting money aside for future projects and needs.
